# Learning from your corrections

Blabb remembers the spelling fixes you make so you do not have to teach the same word twice.

Settings → **Writing style → Learn from corrections**. It is off out of the box, so nothing is
remembered until you turn it on.

## What it does

When you fix the spelling of a word Blabb typed, it remembers the fix. Next time you say that word,
you get your spelling without having to add it to
[Saved words](/docs/cleanup-styles/saved-words/) yourself.

It is the automatic version of teaching a word. Turn it on if you would rather Blabb picked your
spellings up as you go than have you add each one by hand.

## Clear saved corrections

The button underneath makes Blabb forget everything it has picked up this way. Use it if a
correction has been learned wrongly and is now being applied to words you did not mean.

> This also deletes the words you added by hand in **Saved words** — the learned corrections and
> your own entries live in one list, and the button clears all of it. If you have taught Blabb
> anything you would miss, write it down before you press this.

## What it does not do

It remembers **spelling fixes**. That is the whole of it.

It does not learn your writing style, your phrasing, your preferred sentence length or your tone.
If cleanup is producing text that reads wrong to you, no amount of editing will train it out — the
lever for that is the [cleanup style](/docs/cleanup-styles/overview/) you have chosen.
